Degrassi: Arranged MarriagesIn the TV Show Degrassi, an episode airs about Sav Bhandari's Islam culture practicing the idea of arranged marriages. Two videos are provided with the first one promoting a sneak peak of how the meeting occurs between Sav and the girl he is preferred to marry. The second video goes more into detail with Sav explaining arranged marriages to his friends around 1:18, and it is contradicting as he currently had a non-Muslim girlfriend named Anya during the time. Essentially the episode focuses on how Islam culture is portrayed within the show and highlights the act of marriage being specifically important for the parents. The religious practice of Marriage (which is typically done in a home) is considered "signing" a civil contract. Usually, parents invest their sons and daughters in future arranged marriages. Once the daughter marries, she under the legal responsibility of her husband and no longer her father.

Muhammad, the Last ProphetRichard Rich's film: Muhammad, the Last Prophet depicts the story and beginnings of Islam. The film presents Muhammad’s first revelation during a religious retreat in a cave at Mount Hira. He witnessed a bright presence that was holding a cloth with writing. The bright presence commanded Muhammad to recite what the cloth said three times, which provided the beginning words of his revelation. After he receives this message, he returns to his city and preaches of his vision and about monotheism and eventually became the messenger of God, a prophet. Throughout the film, Muhammad’s story is presented in his own perspective.
