Lion King has a lot of Buddhism teachings such as three marks of reality, karma, nirvana, and even the noble eightfold path to some degree. This video provides the major scenes that practice Buddhist teachings. The film also places high emphasis on “The Circle of Life,” which clearly indicates Buddhism hollistically, because life is a constant cycle that can be determined by one in how he or she handles it through the sufferings.

This scene practices two of the noble eightfold paths: the right meditation and contemplation. The right meditation is also known as the right mindfulness to connect more deeply with nature, and this can be exemplified when one is able to have a clear understanding of one’s mental state, health, and feelings. The right contemplation is when one is happy and contains their inner peace. This can be applied to a person when they practice yoga, breathing techniques, exercise, and of course, meditation.
